(Magre statement) Lance (left) has received several thousand dollars in campaign contributions from attorneys whom he called friends. (Lance statement) In the Milam County District Attorney's race, challenger Kerry Spears said she was encouraged to run by the people who said it was time for a change. (Spears statement) Incumbent Hollis Lewis' reprimand from the State Bar was another reason she chose to run.
