Creamy Hash Brown


1/4 cup Butter
1 Onion, chopped
16 oz. Sour Cream
1 can Cream of Celery Soup
8 oz. Cheddar & Monterrey Jack Cheese, shredded
30 oz. pkg. Frozen Hash Browns, thawed
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
2 cups Potato Chips, crushed
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a 9x13 casserole dish. In a small skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter over med. heat. Add onion and cook 3-4 min. or until soft. Pour mixture into a large bowl. Add sour cream, celery soup, cheese, garlic powder, hash browns, salt and pepper. Combine until well blended. Pour into prepared baking dish. Top evenly with potato chips. Bake for 45 min. or until hot and bubbly.

Makes 8-10 servings.
