To Die For


1 cup Flour
2/3 cup Sugar
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
8 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder, divided
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tsp. Melted Butter
1/2 cup Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Brown Sugar
1-1/2 cup Boiling Water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8x2" glass baking dish or a shallow 2 quart casserole bowl. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and 4 tbsp. cocoa powder until well blended. Then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Pour batter into prepared dish. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and remaining cocoa powder. Sprinkle the dry mix evenly over the batter in the pan. Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over the top, DO NOT STIR.

Bake 30 min.

Batter will separate and make one cake layer and one pudding layer during baking. Cool pan on wire rack and serve warm with ice cream and several tablespoons of nuts or sprinkles.
