Amish Pumpkin Bread

3 c Sugar
1 c Oil
4 Eggs, beaten
1 can (15 oz) Pumpkin
3-1/2 c Flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
1 tsp each: Cinnamon, Allspice, & Nutmeg
2/3 c Water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour (2) 9x5" loaf pans. Mix sugar, oil, and eggs together. Add pumpkin. Mix dry ingredients and then add to pumpkin mix. Add water and stir until well blended by hand. Pour batter into pans. Bake 1 hr. Test with toothpick in center that comes out clean. Let cool in pans, then turn out on wire rack.

Optional: Add 1 c Chopped Pecans or Walnuts
