Craggy-Topped Fudge


1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
12 oz. package chocolate chips
3 large eggs
1- 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9X13" pan. Heat sugar and butter in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter is melted. Remove from heat. Add 1- 1/4 cups chips, stir until melted. Stir in eggs. Add flour, vanilla extract, and baking soda; stir until flour is incorporated. Spread into baking pan. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out slightly sticky to the test. Sprinkle remaining chips and nuts over warm brownies. Cool and serve. makes 2 dozen brownies.
