Brushy Creek Bridge On the Move to Cameron

           Workers with Davenport Mammoet of Rosharon, Texas worked throughout the day Wednesday moving Brushy Creek Bridge from it's 88 year old home on County Road 440 25 miles across the county to Wilson Ledbetter Park in Cameron.  The bridge will become a permanent exhibit of the park thanks to the efforts of the Milam County Historical Commission.  The bridge arrived at Wilson Ledbetter Park around 8 pm Wednesday March 31st.   Thursday morning, crews placed the bridge in it's permanent location.  Below are several picture icons.   Each icon is linked to a full size picture.

The Above pictures were taken on Tuesday March 23rd when the bridge was removed from County Road 440 and placed on the large truck and trolly in preparation for it's transport to Cameron.   (Below)  After a week of delays due to utility clearances, the bridge was transported Wednesday March 31st to Wilson Ledbetter Park.
