Praline Sweet Potatoes




2 lbs. Sweet Potatoes or Yams (baked, peeled & mashed)

1/4 cup Milk

1 Egg, slightly beaten

Pepper to taste

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed

1/4 cup Butter, melted

1/4 cup Dark Corn Syrup

1/3 cup Pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together sweet potatoes, milk, egg, pepper and salt. Spoon into buttered 3-qt. casserole dish. Combine the sugar, butter and corn syrup and spread over the potato mix. Sprinkle pecans on top. Bake uncovered until set, about 40-50 mins. Topping will set-up as the dish cools.

Makes 6 servings.
