Measure cereal into a large bowl and set aside. Meanwhile, stir together chips, peanut butter, and butter in 2 qt. microwave safe bowl and microwave on high 1 min. then stir. Microwave another 30 secs. until mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour this mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour this into a 2 gallon food storage bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag and shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in fridge. For variation, use peanut butter chips instead of chocolate. Makes about 18 1/2 cups servings. |
