Pecan Pie Bars




1 box Butter Cake Mix, yellow or white

1/2 cup butter, melted

4 Eggs

1-1/2 cups Karo Syrup

1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed

1 tsp. Vanilla
1-1/2 cups Pecans, chopped

Reserve 1/2 cup of cake mix for filling.

Blend remaining cake mix with butter and 1 egg. Press in a well greased 9x13 baking pan and bake 15-20 mins. at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool to prepare filling.

Filling: Beat 3 eggs slightly, add syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, pecans and 2/3 cup cake mix. Pour over crust and bake 30 mins. at 350 degrees.

Let cool and cut into bars.
