(CAMERON) The Cameron Police Department, in conjunction with over 300 other law enforcement agencies across the State of Texas, will be conducting and participating in a Statewide Warrant Round-Up this month.
If an individual has an active warrant, no matter how old the warrant may be, he or she will be tracked down and arrested. Friday, February 24th is the last day to avoid being arrested. If any individual knows or believes they have warrants out for their arrest from old traffic citations or complaints filed against them, they can come to the Municipal Court Office, located at 605 W. 4th and pay their citations or make arrangements to do so. The Court Office will be open weekdays through February 23rd from 8AM-4PM and February 24th from 9:30AM-5:30PM. The roundup is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. It is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind with arrests expected to continue for several days. Cameron PD urges citizens to call the Court at 697-2372 or pay online at trafficpayment.com
