(CAMERON) A Temple homebuilder knows how much he will pay in restitution after a hearing last week.
Milam County District Attorney Bill Torrey said Jeremy Todd Toms, 35 of Temple, and doing business as Custom Builders LLC, must pay $63,447.09 in restitution to the victim following a restitution hearing Friday in Judge John Youngblood`s 20th District Court. Toms previously entered a guilty plea to the charge of Theft $30,000 to $150,000, a 3rd degree felony, and was given 5 years deferred adjudication with standard probation conditions. He was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and restitution to be determined later. The charges stem from a local Milam County victim who had paid Custom Builders and the work was either not performed or not properly completed.
