(TAYLOR) A hot button issue revolving around open containers will be discussed during the Taylor City Council meeting on Thursday.

During their regular meeting, Taylor City Council will consider an amendment to their current open container ordinance that would allow people to have open containers on sidewalks adjacent to the business that sold it, provided those businesses have identified themselves and registered that area with the city. If approved, the amendment would go into effect the next day. In other business, the City will discuss possible repair assessments for the 63-year-old Fannie Robinson Park pool. Street maintenance bids, budget discussion, and more are also on the agenda. Thursday`s meeting begins at 6PM at Taylor City Hall.
