(CAMERON) There was good news as the Milam County Sheriff continues to fight back after a heart attack.
According to the Sheriff`s wife Janell, the sheriff was talking more as well as being more alert since being off of sedation medications. Some of the conditions
mentioned before which are affecting him are making good progress.
According to Milam County Sheriff Chief Deputy Chris White, an impella pump was removed from Sheriff David Greene`s heart last Friday night and he reportedly did well on his own afterward. White added that the doctors are also working to deal with an infection. Sheriff Greene has been in a medically induced coma but has continued to improve. He suffered a heart attack last month while on vacation in Oregon and has been staying in a cardiac unit in Portland. Greene`s wife Janell asked that anyone who would like to share words of comfort, support, or fun memories, should do so to his or her Facebook pages. You can also send in email thoughts and prayers to email@example.com and they will be forwarded to the Greene`s each day.
